Did you know Wednesday is called “Little Saturday” in Norway?
That’s how it felt on Wednesday too!
I went for dinner with Jarle and Mats, first we wanted to eat at Trattoria Popolare, but we couldn’t get a table before 1 hour later.
We therefore went to SüdØst instead. It’s an Asian crossover restaurant with a huge terrace just across the street from Trattoria Populare.
The weather wasn’t too nice on Wednesday evening, but the only place they had tables available was in the terrace.
It was really difficult for me to choose, since I love green curry, and they had that there. But since I’m on the diet I try to eat as healthy as possible when I’m out dining.
I ended up having a tempura maki, or actually two…
Jarle ordered the wine, since he really knows the wine to pick for the right dish.
After dinner we went to Bettola, a small vintage styled bar just beside Trattoria Populare. In Italian bettola means a bit decadent or dirty, but this bar is nothing like that, it’s just stylish and cool. ;)
I asked if the bartender could make me a ginger cocktail, and he did! It was amazing!
Bettola is a nice and cool place, and they even have live performances there.
For great food and great drinks, all these places are safe bets, even on a Wednesday! :)
